Elden Ring Rennala Boss Guide: How to Defeat the Queen of the Full Moon

Elden Ring, the only game you hear about nowadays, is on the right path to becoming the game of the year already. In Elden Ring the players will embark on a journey that will consist of exploration, mysteries and grand battles with bosses. The developers at Elden Ring have put in a lot of thought when creating the wide variety of bosses and monsters the game has.

Some bosses can be much more difficult than the others and the players would need to devise useful strategies before taking on these behemoths. Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon is a boss that has players pulling out their hair in a fit of rage. In this guide the players can figure out a way to take down this grueling enemy. One thing that players should remember is that the fight with Rennala takes place in two stages, each having their own enemies. Check out how to defeat Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon below:

Stage 1 Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon Boss Fight

• In the first stage the players have to fight this boss and her minions in a library-esque room. These minions are actually the students of Rennala and they will attack the players with flying books, flames and other types of spells. At this point Rennala will be floating above ground sitting comfortably in a force field.
• To get Rennala out of the force field, the players will have to attack the students with a golden aura surrounding their head, this aura will match the color of Rennala’s force field. Smacking all the students with Aura’s around their head will release Rennala from the force field and then the players can go wham on her until she floats back up again. They will have to repeat this process several times until they completely deplete Rennala’s health and move on to Stage 2.
• An advisable strategy for Stage 1 would be to only hit the students with the aura around them once, as this is enough to break the aura. If they kill these minions then they will have to attack other minions that are situated in the far corners of the room to break the Rennala force field again, as they will then gain the aura. Finding these minions with Aura around them is easy as they will be the ones attacking the player with flying books and other types of spells.
• As soon as this process has been repeated 3 times and the players have completely depleted Rennala’s health bar, they will be transported to another room where the actual boss fight and Stage 2 will begin.

Stage 2 Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon Boss Fight

• In this stage the player will be transported to a room that has starry sky and water as the ground for the battle. This is where the actual face-off between Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon and the player will take place.
• The advisable strategy for this altercation is using the Wolves Spirit Ashes, as these will provide additional support to the player in the battle. Rennala also staggers easily, therefore between the Wolves attacking and the players doing their bit, they should be able to take down this boss sooner.
• Players should take their time at first an understand the moveset of this boss. When they see an opening, the players should use an aggressive approach to quickly pick off how much ever health they can.
• One thing to keep in mind is that Rennala is a magic based enemy, therefore she is resistant to magic-based attacks. Players should use weapons that have Strength and Dexterity scaling as these will be the most effective against Rennala, Queen of the Full moon in Elden Ring.
