Elden Ring Streamer Has Switched Out The Dancepad For An Acoustic Guitar

Elden Ring player MissMikkaa is a legend known for defeating foes with dancepads, and she’s beginning a new Elden Ring challenge with a different input: the acoustic guitar.

She’s successfully defeated Margit with the acoustic guitar, describing the experience as one of the “most inconsistent and hardest runs so far” on Twitter.

In a reply to a user asking about how the controls are mapped, MissMikkaa explains that she needs to hit the right frequencies in order to execute actions in-game. “I’m using a software called AbjectAudioInputs to keybind frequencies from the guitar into keyboard and mouse actions,” MissMikkaa says. “Just need to hit the right frequency when playing the chords, it’s really hard hahaha.”

MissMikkaa further elaborates in an Eurogamer interview, explaining that she originally wanted to use chords only, but she realized that the multiple frequencies would get picked up as a result. “Using single notes however was much more consistent,” MissMikkaa says. “Therefore I isolated several chords which did not have overlapping frequencies and mixed them with single notes as actions in the game. I ended up with around seven chords and six notes, but this may change with time.”

GameSpot interviewed MissMikkaa back in September, when she defeated challenging bosses with only one hand. Since then, she’s moved onto defeating two Malenias simultaneously with a controller and a dancepad–a testimony to MissMikkaa’s mastery over unconventional inputs.
