Elden Ring Vagabond Class Guide: Here’s How To Build the Perfect Knight-Type Character

Elden Ring has a deep and extensive class system and offers a variety of classes to choose from for the players. Picking the wrong class at the beginning of the game can end up being catastrophic for the gameplay experience of the players.

The recommended Keepsake for Vagabond is the Stonesword key. This will allow them to access the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave and get their hands on the Erdtree’s Favor a lot sooner. The Erdtree’s Favor in Elden Ring is a Talisman that raises the Max HP, Stamina and Equip Load of the player, this upgrade will be beneficial at the start of the game and will negate the need to keep Golden Seed as the Keepsake for this class.

Building the Vagabond Class in Elden Ring

Dexterity and Strength are the two stats that players should concentrate on first. They should build up this stat just enough to meet the requirements to wield the Claymore and the Lordsworn’s Greatsword. The next and one of the most essential stats that players should pay attention to is Vigor. As a Vagabond the players will always be in close quarters with their enemies, taking their attacks head-on. Increasing the Vigor stat will ensure survivability for the player by decreasing the damage taken through enemy attacks.

After these stats, the players should shift their focus to Endurance. Endurance directly reflects towards stamina in Elden Ring and the players will be consuming loads of stamina while attacking and dodging from the enemies. Endurance will also increase the amount of weight of equipment that the player can carry, allowing them to add heavier armour to their character for that extra layer of protection.

Combat Strategy for Vagabond Class

The idea for this build is to inflict the most amount of damage with one blow, this can be achieved by attacking with both weapons at the same time. The attack rate for this attack will be slower and the players will have to time it perfectly to inflict great damage on their enemies. They can use just the right-handed weapon to take down the weaker and faster enemies.

Jumping and attacking will be one of the moves that players will execute the most. This move will allow them to inflict even more damage and stagger towards their enemies. An advisable strategy would be to get the Claw Talisman when progressing further into the game, as this Talisman will boost all types of jump attacks that are performed by the player. As a Vagabond, the players will have to inculcate a more aggressive playing style rather than patiently taking down their enemies.
