Elon Musk is the bravest, most creative person on the planet, says Netflix CEO – Times of India
Elon Musk has been called quite a few things — good and bad — over the years. Some think he is a genius, whereas others aren’t too kind in their choice of words. Since his takeover of Twitter, there has been a lot that has been said about the world’s richest man. This time he has received praise — in fact a lot of praise — from a fellow tech CEO. Speaking at an event organised by The New York Times, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said that what Musk has done is phenomenal.
“Elon Musk is the bravest and the most creative person on the planet. What he has done in multiple areas is phenomenal,” said Hastings. He also said that people need to give Musk a “break” and that they are very “nitpicky on him”.
Hastings said that he believes Musk is trying to help the world. “I’m 100% convinced he is trying to help the world in all of his endeavours,” said the Netflix CEO.
Musk has various business interests but the main ones are running the world’s largest electric vehicle company and a space tech company. Both Tesla and SpaceX have been run by Musk and in the last few years have helped him become the world’s richest man.His recent $44 billion takeover of Twitter has been in the news non-stop for one reason or the other. But Hastings isn’t worried about Musk’s leadership or working style.
On Musk’s style of working, he said that it is certainly different. “I am trying to be steady, respectable leader, but he doesn’t care. He is just like out there.” He also said that he wouldn’t do it the way Musk does things but remains “deeply respectful” of him.
On his part, Musk thanked the Netflix CEO in a tweet where he said, “Wow, thank you for the kind words @reedhastings.”
