The 20-year-old was overlooked in the LTA Women’s Player of the Year award which was won by world No.113 Harriet Dart. The award was voted for by LTA members and coaches with the accolade based on performances during 2022.
Dart was beaten in the Australian and French Open first rounds while reaching a stage further at Wimbledon and the US Open. In comparison Radicanu reached the second round in three of the four Grand Slam tournaments.
While Raducanu won just one match at last year’s Indian Wells Masters her British rival came through qualifying to reach the fourth round for the first time in her career. Dart was highlighted for her performances in the Billie Jean King Cup finals when she helped Britain to her first semi-final since 1981.

On route to Britain reaching the semi-finals Dart beat former Indian Wells champion Paula Badosa. The British No.3 behind Raducanu and Jodie Burrage also knocked 10th seed Daria Kasatkina out of the US Open in the first round.
Dart also reached her first two WTA quarter-finals at Nottingham and Eastbourne events. Speaking about the award Dart said: “Last year was a huge milestone for me, breaking the top 100. Notably, representing Great Britain is always a big part of my year and being able to deliver some wins for our team meant so much.
