England star Harry Kane to ‘undergo scan’ ahead of USA clash

England ace Harry Kane is reportedly set to have a scan on his right ankle ahead of the Three Lions’ World Cup clash with USA on Friday. The Tottenham striker was substituted during the latter stages of his side’s 6-2 victory over Iran on Monday.

England headed into the Qatar World Cup among the favourites after reaching the semi-finals in Russia four years ago and sailing through their qualifying group this time around. And manager Gareth Southgate will be looking for Kane to do the business throughout the tournament.

Kane was key for his country against Iran as he assisted two of his team’s goals. But he was the victim of a heavy challenge from Morteza Pouraliganji in the 48th minute as the ace went down clutching his ankle.

Kane continued for another 28 minutes, before finally making way for Callum Wilson. And the Spurs man was later spotted limping while wearing strapping in the aftermath of the showdown.
