Euro 2020: Nearly 2000 Scotland fans attended Euro events while being infectious with Covid-19
As many 397 Scottish fans who were identified as being infectious with Covid-19 attended Scotland’s Euro 2020 group stage match against England at Wembley on June 18.

Public Health Scotland on Wednesday said as many as 2000 people who live in Scotland attended a Euro 2020 event while being infectious with Covid-19.
Thousands of Scotland fans came to London for the group-stage match between Scotland and England on June 18. While many headed to Wembley Stadium to see the game in person, people also gathered in the city center in Glasgow. Notably, the Hampden Stadium in Glasgow also hosted Euro 2020 matches.

Of the 1,991 people identified as having attended a EURO 2020 event while infectious, 1,294 had travelled to London and 397 had gone to Wembley, Public Health Scotland said, according to Reuters.
Cases were labelled if the person in question had seen a match at Hampden or Wembley, gone to a fanzone in Glasgow, or participated in an informal gathering at a pub or a house to watch a match.
There were only 38 reports of people attending Scotland’s home game against Croatia while contagious, with 37 reports from Scotland’s match against the Czech Republic at Hampden.
Scotland were knocked out in the group stage with 2 loses and 1 draw. They had held England to a 0-0 draw at Wembley Stadium.
