Every Apple iPad in India now costs more: Here are the new prices – Times of India
Apple refreshed its lineup of iPads by launching the new iPad Pro and the 10th-gen entry-level iPad. The new iPad Pro starts at Rs 81,900 for the 11-inch variant whereas the 12.9-inch variant starts at Rs 96,900. The entry-level iPad, on the other hand, starts at Rs 44,900. While the new iPads have certainly been launched at a higher price point than the previous generation models of the same, it seems like Apple has hiked the prices of all the iPads it sells in India. Here are the new prices:
Apple iPad mini: Price hiked by Rs 3,000
Launched in 2021, the iPad mini is the smallest iPad in Apple’s lineup. The iPad mini at the time of the launch came at a starting price of Rs 46,900. However, now it is selling for Rs 49,900.
Apple iPad Air: Priced hiked by Rs 5,000
Earlier this year, Apple introduced the iPad Air with M1 chip and an array of new features. At the time of the launch, the iPad Air came at a starting price of Rs 54,900. Currently, the iPad Air starts at Rs 59,900.
New iPad Pro: Costs Rs 11,000 more than previous generation
As mentioned earlier, the iPad Pro starts at Rs 81,900. However, the previous generation model — launched in April 2021 — came with a starting price of Rs 71,900 for the 11-inch variant. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2021) was launched at Rs 85,900 whereas the new costs Rs 11,000 more.
The entry-level iPad: Costs Rs 14,000 more than previous generation
The most popular iPad used to be the most affordable and it still is but now costs substantially more. Apple has redesigned the entry-level iPad and added a bunch of cool features. However, the starting price of the iPad (9th-gen) was Rs 30,900 whereas the new 10.9-inch iPad now costs Rs 44,900.
Apple iPad (9th-gen): Costs Rs 3,000 more
In a rather surprising move, Apple is still selling the previous entry-level model of the iPad. However, its price too has been hiked by Rs 3,000 and the iPad (9th-gen) now starts at Rs 33,900.
