[Exclusive] Vivo to set up Apple-like experience centres in India; Vivo Pad, laptops India launch soon

The brand plans to bring the Vivo Pad to the Indian market with a Vivo Book tag along. Interestingly, ASUS sells laptops under the VivoBook moniker, so Vivo is most likely to change the branding of its upcoming laptop range in India. The news comes a few days after the company teased its flagship smartphone, the Vivo X80 series, whose India launch is scheduled for May 18th. Here’s everything you need to know about the coming Vivo gears.

For the photography, the Vivo Pad has a dual-camera setup at the back, including a 13MP f/2.2 primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 112-degree FoV. An 8MP camera on the front takes care of the selfie needs. Vivo Pad runs Android 11 OS out of the box.

Vivo laptops

According to the tipster, Vivo is planning to launch two models of the Vivo Book; one will pack an Intel i3 chipset, and the other will have an i5 processor. The tipster also suggests that the company may change the name of upcoming Vivo laptops as the VivoBook name falls under Asus’s domain. The complete configuration and the exact generation of the processors are still a mystery.

The tipster stated that with the launch of the Vivo Pad and Vivo laptops, the company intends to showcase its ecosystem and compete with the likes of Apple. Vivo is also looking to launch more flagships in India.
