To recall, the Vivo Y72 5G went official in Thailand back in March. The phone highlights features like the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, 64MP triple cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery. Vivo Y72 5G will launch in India on July 15th, 91mobiles has learned from a Vivo official. It’s unclear whether Vivo will hold a launch event or settle for a quiet unveiling.

Vivo Y72 5G India poster reveals bank offers and more

Tipster Yogesh has provided us with an official poster image that reveals the Vivo Y72 5G along with bank offers and key specs. We are told that the company will only launch one variant of the phone. The Y72 5G will come with 8GB RAM and will support an additional 4G of Extended RAM, or what we know as Virtual RAM. The poster also confirms the Indian variant will come with a 1080p FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and two colour options – Dream Glow and Graphite Black.

The Vivo Y72 5G will come with a flat Rs 1,500 cashback through HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Kotak. You will also get a one-time screen replacement and Jio benefits worth Rs 10,000 on purchasing the phone. As for the Vivo Y72 5G price in India, the tipster told us that the phone will fall under Rs 20,000. We expect to learn the official price on July 15th.

Vivo Y72 5G specifications

The global version of the Vivo Y72 5G features a 6.58-inch FHD+ (2408×1080) LCD display. Interestingly, while the global version does not offer a 90Hz refresh rate, the Indian variant will. The Y72 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which we are told will be the same for the Indian model as well. The SoC is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Vivo Y72 5G is equipped with a triple camera system that includes a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP sensor. At the front, the phone gets a 16MP camera for selfies. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. The Y72 5G ships with Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.1. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.1, Type-C port, hybrid SIM slot, and more.
