Recent reports have suggested that phones with 100W+ fast charging support from brands like Realme, Vivo, OPPO and possibly OnePlus are gearing up to launch in India soon. It appears that Xiaomi is also in the race of launching a 120W phone in the country, 91mobiles has learned from an industry source. The phone could either be the Xiaomi 11T Pro or the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ that debuted in China recently. The latter is tipped to be rebranded as Redmi Note 11i Hypercharge in India. While the launch date is yet to be revealed, our source tells us the announcement will happen before January, which means a December launch seems likely.
Separately, the Xiaomi 11T Pro battery has appeared on BIS certification with the model number BM58, as spotted by 91mobiles. This suggests the 120W phone could indeed be the Xiaomi 11T Pro.
Redmi Note 11 Pro+ specifications
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+, which could launch as Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge in India, sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and a punch-hole cutout. The phone has a triple camera setup on the back with a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. A 4,500mAh battery with a whopping 120W fast charging support fuels the phone. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset coupled with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. It is equipped with JBL powered speakers, stereo speakers, and a metal unibody design.
Xiaomi 11T Pro specifications
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 11T Pro flaunts a 6.67-inch FHD+ TrueColour display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 480Hz touch response rate, Dolby Vision, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus layer. The phone is equipped with a vapour chamber, dual Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. There is a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The Xiaomi 11T has triple cameras on the back, with a 108MP Samsung HM2 primary sensor, an 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens with a Sony IMX355 sensor, and an 8MP telemacro sensor with a 3x telemacro camera. It can record 8K videos with HDR10+. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
