Google Play Games beta: Availability
For the beta program, Google has promised widescreen support and has included multiple titles in the service. However, the company has not yet shared any details about the global release date for the Play Games beta on PC. Currently, this program is available in a few select regions including — the US, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico and some Asian countries.
The Play Games beta is not available in India right now and users have to wait until Google adds support. The company is expected to expand this program to other regions soon. Over 50 games are currently available in the beta program. More games are expected to be added soon.
Google Play Games beta: How will it work
Google’s Play Games beta program will not only adds support for bigger screens but will also include an automatic progress sync feature. The company has confirmed that the Play on PC service will come with “optimised graphics,” for gamers to have a better experience even while playing mobile video games on PC.
Moreover, the video game libraries will also be synced with the players’ respective Google accounts which will allow users to switch devices easily. This means gamers can start playing a title on their mobile and play it on their PC for some time. Users will also be allowed to access the game on their mobile again after playing it on their PC.
The official page of the program mentions that developers have optimised all the mobile titles for PCs. This will help in delivering a standardised experience across both mobile and PCs. Apart from this, Google has also scanned all the included titles for user safety and has assured that none of the games poses a potential threat to their systems.
Play Games beta program will also offer Google Play points. Just like smartphones, gamers will also be able to earn points on their PCs with every purchase and subscription.

Google Play Games beta: PC requirements
The company has also detailed the minimum PC requirements to run the program. PCs with any octa-core processor and any gaming-grade GPU (like Geforce MX450) will be able to run Google Play Games. The system needs to pack at least 8GB of RAM and 20GB SSD storage is the minimum requirement to access the program. Moreover, the PC also need support for hardware visualisation and has to run Windows 10 OS or above.
