F1 news LIVE: Lewis Hamilton forced rival into boxing, Charles Leclerc on yacht

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton once forced his rival to consider taking up boxing to get the advantage in their battle. Meanwhile, Ferrari star Charles Leclerc has been taking full advantage of the summer break and has been snapped on a steamy yacht trip with his new flame.

Childhood friend Nico Rosberg would have been pleased when British star Hamilton switched teams in 2013 leaving McLaren to join him at the Silver Arrows. However, the German driver had to play second fiddle to Hamilton in both 2014 and 2015 title battles before finally coming out on top a year later.

That was Hamilton’s only year when he didn’t win the Drivers’ Championship during a dominant seven-year period which left his rivals wondering if they would ever see the Brit lose the crown. However, the Mercedes star has had to play second fiddle to Max Verstappen during the last two Championships and sits fourth in this year’s competition.

Ferrari will be glad for the summer break after a disastrous campaign which has seen Leclerc finish on the podium three times in their opening 12 races. The Monaco driver did enjoy a second placed finish in Austria last month and now appears to have a new love interest he was snapped with on a yacht trip.
