Fallout: Exclusive Character Poster from Prime Video’s TV Series Adaptation
IGN can exclusively reveal a new poster from Fallout, Prime Video’s upcoming series adaptation of the Bethesda video game franchise. The poster, seen below, features the character of Lucy as played by Ella Purnell.
The official description for the show’s Lucy describes her as “an optimistic Vault Dweller with an all-American can-do spirit. Her peaceful and idealistic nature is tested when people harm her loved ones.”
Executive producer Jonathan Nolan (Westworld, Person of Interest), who also directed Fallout’s first three episodes, told Vanity Fair that “Lucy is charming and plucky and strong…and then you see she’s confronted with the reality of, hey, maybe the supposedly virtuous things you grew up with are not necessarily that virtuous. If they are virtuous, they’re couched in a circumstantial virtuousness. It’s a luxury virtue. You have your point of view because you never ran out of food, right? You guys were able to share everything—because you had enough to share.”
Prime Video’s official synopsis calls Fallout “the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them.”
Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, writers, and co-showrunners. Executive producers include Nolan and Lisa Joy and Athena Wickham of Kilter Films along with Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks.
Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films produce in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
In addition to Ella Purnell as Lucy, Fallout also stars Walton Goggins as The Ghoul, Aaron Moten as Maximus, and Kyle MacLachlan as Overseer Hank.
Additional cast members include Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), Michael Emerson (Person of Interest), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), Frances Turner (The Boys), Dave Register (Heightened), Zach Cherry (Severance), Johnny Pemberton (Ant-Man), Rodrigo Luzzi (Dead Ringers), Annabel O’Hagan (Law & Order: SVU), and Xelia Mendes-Jones (The Wheel of Time).
