Fantasy RB PPR Rankings Week 11: Who to start, sit at running back in fantasy football
Around the middle of last week, things were really looking up at the running back position, but after Nick Chubb (COVID), Damien Harris (concussion), and Alvin Kamara (knee) were ruled out and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) and Chris Carson (neck) were deemed not healthy enough to come off the IR, things quickly went downhill. We’re not totally sure what to expect this week, but we’re taking an optimistic approach with our Week 11 fantasy RB PPR rankings.
Just two teams are on bye this week (Rams, Broncos), and fantasy owners might actually be relieved they don’t have to make start ’em, sit ’em decisions with Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon. The loss of those two and Darrell Henderson only slightly thins out our rankings and really doesn’t affect the very top tier.
WEEK 11 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
We’re banking on getting Saquon Barkley (ankle) back after his bye, but a matchup with Tampa might have some questioning whether they should play him. The Bucs sport the No. 2 run defense, but they allow over seven receptions per game to RBs, so Barkley is still a must-start in PPR leagues. The Jets, Bengals, Seahawks, and Eagles also allow over seven catches/game to RBs, so give Myles Gaskins (@ Jets), Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake (vs. Bengals), James Conner (@ Seahawks), and Kamara and Mark Ingram (@ Eagles) bumps in PPR value.
WEEK 11 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
There are plenty more favorable matchups in terms of fantasy points per game allowed. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams (vs. Cowboys), Michael Carter and Ty Johnson (vs. Dolphins), Tony Pollard (@ Chiefs), and Adrian Peterson and Jeremy McNichols (vs. Texans) aren’t “must-starts,” but they’re in great spots this week.
On the flip side, you have Carson and Alex Collins (vs. Cardinals), Jordan Howard and Boston Scott (vs. Saints), Zack Moss and Devin Singletary (@ Colts), and Antonio Gibson (vs. Panthers) in especially tough matchups. None catch enough passes to have considerably extra value in PPR value, though Gibson looked good last week and J.D. McKissic might still work as a low-ceiling flex.
As always, health will have more effect than anything on these rankings. We mentioned a bunch of the key banged-up backs above, but Kareem Hunt (calf) and Miles Sanders (ankle) are both eligible to come back this week, too, while Aaron Jones (knee) is on the wrong side of questionable right now. Expect plenty of changes leading up until kickoff.
Note: We’ll be updating these RB PPR rankings throughout the week, so check back for analysis and the latest player movement.
