Fast X: Find Out How Many Post-Credit Scenes Are in the Movie, Their Meaning and the Return of a Major Character
Does Fast X have any scenes after the movie ends? Yes, it does. While there are no scenes after the credits stop rolling, there is a mid-credits scene. Read on to find out more about it.
The tenth and the first of the concluding trilogy of the Fast and Furious franchise, Fast X, has now hit theatres. And what happens after the movie ends is exciting and shocking. We are talking about a mid-credits scene in the film, which reveals the comeback of a major character who had reportedly departed from the franchise.
Fast X mid-credits scene: All you need to know
Dominic Toretto is back, this time at the end of the road. But it’s going to be a long and bumpy ride, as Fast X’s mid-credits scene teased the return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Luke Hobbs. This is the sole post-movie scene that you need to wait through the credits for.
What does The Rock’s return mean for the franchise?
In the mid-credits scene, we see a team infiltrating a building, only to find out the scene’s been staged. A phone rings, and a mysterious hooded figure answers it to find Dante Reyes (played by Jason Momoa) on the other end. Reyes warns the hooded figure that he’ll be coming after him for murdering his father. The hooded figure is then revealed to be none other than Luke Hobbs (played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson), who retorts, “I ain’t hard to find. You sumbitch!”, and goes on to crush the phone with his hands.
Dwayne Johnson was last seen in the Fast & Furious franchise in the eighth instalment, 2017’s The Fate of the Furious and 2019’s Hobbs & Shaw. In the meantime, a lot of water has flown under the bridge, with The Rock and Vin Diesel’s “feud” now out in the public. There were even talks of the actor to not appearing in the Fast and Furious movies alongside Vin Diesel. The Rock was reportedly focusing more on the spinoff Hobbs & Shaw when it came to the Fast & Furious franchise.
Given these facts, Dwayne Johnson’s surprise appearance in the mid-credits of Fast X has been a real shocker. Makes us wonder if the actors’ off-screen beef would transcend on to the screen henceforth, or if it would end up in a partnership, as usual.
