The first trailer for Fast and Furious 10, officially known as Fast X, has finally been revealed, showing off newcomers Jason Momoa and Brie Larson alongside Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto.
The Fast and Furious YouTube channel published the hefty, nearly four minute long trailer, that features about as much action as any four minute trailer ever could.
In it we see Dante Reyes, played by Momoa, planning his revenge against Toretto’s family for taking out his father, the Brazilian drug kingpin and main villain of Fast Five. Reyes has spent the last twelve years devising a master plan to take out each member of the family one at a time.
Larson’s character Tess, a rogue representative from the Agency, also gets shown off for the first time in the trailer, and she can be seen beating up a ton of baddies while earning the respect of Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty.
The family is returning too, of course, with the trailer catching fans up with Tyrese Gibson as Roman, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges as Tej, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Jordana Brewster as Mia, Sung Kang as Han, Jason Statham as Deckard, and John Cena as Jakob.
There’s been a long build-up to Fast X, the release date for which was shared back in 2016. Universal has done its bit in increasing the excitement for fans recently too, releasing nine Legacy Trailers for each previous Fast and Furious film in the run-up to this Fast X trailer.
Though the film’s production reportedly didn’t go too smoothly, caused in part by the departure of director Justin Lin following an alleged argument with Diesel, fans don’t have long to wait for Fast X as it finally premieres on May 19.
