Fire TV Stick users offered ultimate Sky upgrade at a much lower price

Anyone with a Fire TV Stick that feels a little jealous about the features found on Sky might want to take a look at a new deal from Amazon. The online retailer has launched its best Prime Day deals and the offers include a huge discount on the Alexa Voice Remote Pro.

This diddy channel changer comes packed with a number of upgrades that Sky users have been enjoying for years including backlit keys which glow up when the lights go down and an in-built alarm which is tucked under the plastic case.

Yes, when it slips down the side of the sofa and you can’t find it, simply shout, “Alexa, find my remote” and a loud noise will start blaring out so you can find it again.

Those updates are not the only reasons to consider buying this accessory as it also comes with two customisable buttons which let you create your own shortcuts to favourite channels, apps or any of the numerous Alexa commands.

There’s also a Bluetooth headphone button which makes it easy to connect those wireless cans and there’s all-important access to Alexa which lets you bark orders at your TV. Just tap the Alexa icon and say, pause TV or find films with Tom Cruise and you should get a useful response.

When the Alexa Pro Remote launched it cost a pretty hefty £34.99 but that’s now been dropped to just £24.99 which makes it feel much more enticing.

If you have a Fire TV Stick and fancy giving it a Sky-style makeover then there is one catch.

That’s because it’s only available in the Prime Day sale and that means you’ll need a Prime account to grab the money-saving AirPods offer.

If you don’t have Prime then do not panic. Amazon offers a month of free access which means you sign up now, grab the discount and then cancel before the 30 days is up.

By doing this you’ll get access to all of the Prime Day deals without paying that £8.99 monthly fee.

Just remember to cancel before the free period ends or you will be charged.
