Forseti takes the honours in South India 2000 Guineas

Prasanna Kumar’s Forseti (P.S. Chouhan astride) clinched the South India 2000 Guineas (1,600m), the second Classic of the season here on Thursday (Dec. 29). The winner is the property of Mr. Rajan Aggarwal.

Forseti, who jumped out smartly, settled down to race sixth till the final bend when Chouhan, who rode confidently, made his move in the straight. The colt responded well and took command in the last 150m mark to gallop past long-time leader Supreme Dance and take the honours ahead of the late and fast-finishing Ashwa Magadheera.
