ORIGINAL: Fortnite developer Epic Games is taking the game offline for update 25.10. The first update of the new season will reset ranked play, introduce a crossover with Nike and make countless bug fixes. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC, update 25.10 will be available to download on the morning of June 20. It will be accompanied by a period of server downtime, which means you won’t be able to play Fortnite for at least a couple of hours. If you want to know when you can log back into Fortnite, check out the 25.10 server downtime schedule below.
The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside details on when servers will be taken offline for maintenance.
“Mudslide your way into v25.10!” reads an Epic tweet. “Downtime begins at 3 AM with matchmaking disabled shortly beforehand.
“Please note with this update we will be resetting players ranks for Ranked Season Zero. See our previous Ranked Update blog here for more details.”
For UK fans, this means that Fortnite will be taken offline in full at 8am BST, while matchmaking will be disabled at 7.30am.
Epic hasn’t revealed exactly when downtime will come to an end, but maintenance typically lasts for around a couple of hours.
This means Fortnite should be back online by 10am BST UK time at the latest.
As you can see from the tweet above, Epic Games will use update 25.10 to reset ranked play for Season Zero.
Elsewhere, Epic Games is also planning to remove the Daily Login Rewards from Save the World as part of the new update.
Perhaps most exciting of all, however, is the news that Epic Games is expected to launch a new collaboration with Nike Airphoria.
The Nike crossover will reportedly include new skins, cosmetics, and exclusive rewards for Swoosh members.
Nike and Epic Games have also built an “immersive, and first-of-it’s-kind Air Max themed experience” within the game.
