Fortnite DOWN: Server status latest, you do not have permission to play error hits

Fortnite down reports are on the rise, with users getting a you do not have permission to play error message when they login to the hit Battle Royale game. Independent outage monitor Down Detector has recorded a huge spike in Fortnite down reports today, which began after 7pm UK time. According to Down Detector stats, the vast majority of Fortnite down reports are to do with server connection.

At the time of writing, Down Detector UK has registered a peak of around 2,000 reports of Fortnite down.

As the reported Fortnite server issues hit users took to social media to talk about the problems they were facing.

On Twitter one Fortnite fan posted: “Fortnite severs are down again”.

While another wrote: “Fortnite down at least I got foundation”.

One added: “Fortnite is down having a lot of trouble it even logged me out”.

And another said: “Can Fortnite stop being down when I wanna play”.

While Fortnite leakers have also been tweeting about the server disruption players are experiencing today.

Fortnite leaker HYPEX posted: “Fortnite servers broke”.

And iFireMonkey also tweeted: “Fortnite is currently experiencing Server Issues once again.”

In the aftermath of these reports flooding in the official Fortnite Status Twitter account confirmed servers were facing issues.

The @FortniteStatus posted: “We’re investigating an issue preventing players from connecting to Fortnite services including logging in, matchmaking, voice chat, and other party services.”

The latest service disruption comes just days after Fortnite game servers went offline again.

That outage took place on Tuesday February 1 and lasted for over two hours.

When the server issues were resolved the official Epic Games Status page said: “Fortnite game servers are back online and service has returned to normal.

“Some players may see longer queue times when coming back in, and we’ll continue to monitor this to ensure everything is fully recovered.”
