Fans of racing games are counting down to the release of Forza Motorsport on Xbox Series X|S and PC. After a lengthy absence, the new Forza Motorsport game makes its debut at midnight local time on October 5, but only for early access customers. Indeed, if you want to play the racing sim early, you’ll need to pre-order the Forza Motorsport Premium Edition, which will set you back £89.99 from the Xbox Store. If you’re waiting for the Standard Edition or looking to play on Xbox Game Pass, then Forza Motorsport will launch on October 10.
If you have pre-ordered the game, then I would also recommend pre-loading ahead of launch.
Forza Motorsport weighs in at a whopping 133GB on Xbox Series X, 100GB on Xbox Series S, and around 120GB on PC.
If you have a slower internet connection, then you should download Forza Motorsport as soon as possible, to ensure you’re ready for launch.
With the Standard Edition launching five days after the early access version, don’t be surprised to see an update or two drop within the next few days.
Forza Motorsport features over 500 authentic cars, which can be driven across 20 environments.
“Make every lap count across 20 living environments, with fan-favourite locations and multiple track layouts to master, each featuring live on-track scoring, fully dynamic time-of-day with weather, and unique driving conditions that ensure no two laps ever look or play the same.”
As you can see from the trailer below, the new Forza Motorsport is one of the most impressive looking Xbox Series X/S games to date.
Certainly one of the most impressive things about Forza Motorsport is the dynamic weather system, which completely transforms the way you’ll need to approach a race in the career mode.
Not only will you need to modify your tyres depending on the weather, but you’ll have to use the 800+ performance upgrades to successfully make your way through the Builders Cup Career Mode.
According to Microsoft, Forza Motorsport will be supported with new career championships and online events on a regular basis.
That’s on top of a constant barrage of new vehicles to purchase, many of which will be available for Premium Edition owners.
Indeed, purchasing the Premium Edition doesn’t just come with early access, but also the Race Day Car Pack, Car Pass (featuring 30 cars delivered to your game weekly), VIP Membership and the Welcome Pack.
