fromsoftware: You’ll soon be able to team up with friends in Elden Ring, here’s how – Times of India

At some point in a solo role-playing game, some of us have wanted to explore and go for further adventures in the game world with a bunch of friends or just one. Elden Ring is one such game where you might have ached for an adventure buddy as you go exploring its Souls-like world despite the game offering co-op in bits and pieces. The good news is that a co-op experience will now be possible in the game, but not from FromSoftware for now.
This co-op experience will be made possible through a mod called the ‘Seamless Coop’ mod. The modder is LukYui and the mod will release the public beta on Nexus Mods on May 27 for the PC version of the action RPG.
So, in addition to teaming up together at any instant in the game, the mod also allows you to go head to head with your comrade if fighting together is getting too mainstream for you. Other features the mod brings are being able to spectate your co-op friend after you die in a boss fight, voting for fast travel, both the co-op players riding their own horses in the game and including up to four players in your team though the more the number of your comrades, the more difficult it will get for your team to kill the enemies. Also, you will share the rewards and the game progression.

The promise of the modder is that the co-op mod will not get players banned as the mod does not use the multiplayer servers of FromSoftware and also because it does not use anti-cheat as it runs off a separate launcher. However, it is yet to be seen how effective the mod is going to be when it comes out on May 27 and also, would it set the developers thinking about bringing an official co-op experience to Elden Ring?
