Frustrated Battlefield 2042 Players Call for Refunds on All Platforms With an Online Petition
Disappointed Battlefield 2042 players have had enough with developers DICE following the game’s horrible launch.
The situation has become so dire that players have organized an online petition to demand a refund after the developers failed to release a product with the features that they advertised.
Following the mixed response to Battlefield V, players were pretty excited when DICE revealed the next iteration to fans with one of best teaser trailers for a game.
The community was chuffed by DICE’s response to their previous failure by going back to the roots of bonkers gameplay that has become synonymous with the franchise.
However, after generating a crazy amount of hype, the months leading up to the release were filled with a lot of issues which included a delayed beta.
Moreover, players who experienced the beta had a lot of negatives to say about the gameplay. While many of them hoped to see those changes, the developers never really fixed the problems with the final game that arrived after a delay of one month.
There’s now a petition from the Battlefield community to ask for refunds on Battlefield 2042.
I’m really surprised this disaster hasn’t been picked up by more outlets tbh.https://t.co/ivdHYy4qyg

Since then, players have had to face more issues which included rampant cheating as well. In the end, this has caused the community to demand for a refund through a petition, which has over 17,000 signatures at the time of writing.
The petition has stated the numerous issues with the game and the reason why players want a refund.
“According to many consumer reports, Electronic Arts and DICE did not keep many promises made at launch, and Battlefield 2042 was launched as unplayable. Even today, Battlefield 2042 has bugs that drastically change the in-game experience so much that it’s deemed an unfinished release by many community members.”
It also mentioned that a class-action lawsuit will slapped on the developers if the petition reaches 50,000 signatures, and it remains to be seen if EA and DICE will face major legal issues over the game in the near future.
