Gary Lineker sends classy message to the Queen after worrying Covid update

Gary Lineker has sent a classy message to Queen Elizabeth after a Buckingham Palace statement confirmed she had tested positive for COVID-19.

Elizabeth, 95, was yet to test positive for the virus in the two-year spell it has affected the United Kingdom.

But a Buckingham Palace statement on Sunday confirmed the adored Queen was experiencing mild symptoms.

“Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week,” the statement read.

“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”

And Lineker showed his support for the Monarch in a classy message on Twitter.

“The Queen has tested positive for Covid. Wish her a speedy and full recovery,” the Match of the Day presenter said.
