gboard: Google expands Gboard’s custom text stickers support to more Android users – Times of India
Google has added the custom text stickers support to the Gboard keyboard on Android. The feature is now available to users using the “US-English” version of the keyboard. The custom text stickers feature allows users to create and send personalised stickers by typing text and using pre-made designs.
To be able to use the custom text emojis, users need to update the Gboard app to its latest version and then type one of two emojis into a message. The keyboard app automatically transforms them into a mashup which can be made into stickers.
In addition to this, the tech giant has also expanded the stickers collection under Gboard’s Emoji Kitchen with over 1,600 new Pride Month and summer-themed mashup stickers.
Google, in addition to the new Gboard features, has also rolled out new features to two of the accessibility apps — Sound Amplifier and Lookout.
The Sound Amplifier app, as the name implies, amplifies certain sounds to help people with hearing difficulties. The app has received a design update along with other improvements like background noise reduction and faster and more accurate sound.
The Lookout app, on the other hand, is an accessibility app designed to help visually impaired people. The app has now received an offline mode and also the ability to hear image descriptions from an app or browser.
In addition to that, Google has also added the ability to pay using Google Play Points in select regions.
