True Geordie has made a reaction video in response to his recent interview with Tyson Fury in which the WBC champion hurled insults at the YouTube star. Geordie – whose real name is Brian Davis – grilled Fury on his upcoming contest with Derek Chisora, which angered ‘The Gypsy King’.
Davis challenged Fury on why he has chosen to face a man he has already beaten twice (in 2011 and 2014) after fans expressed their outrage at the ‘mismatch’. Fury branded Davis a ‘t***pot’ and told him to ‘kiss his b****’ as he stormed off their video call.
Now, the Misfits boxing commentator has delivered his official response and didn’t hold back. “A couple of points that Tyson made during his argument with me. He said, he doesn’t care about legacy? I beg to differ. I think the fact that he was named after Mike Tyson tells me that legacy was drilled into him from day one,” said Davis.
“He’s all about legacy, he talks about being the greatest of all time a lot. He has studied the greats, he often references them and again he tripped himself up multiple times by saying that it’s not about legacy but then saying that the reason why he’s doing it is to make history.
“You’re having to bamboozle yourself to make sense of it all and none of it makes sense. That’s why there’s been such overwhelming support for the video because people are sick and tired of this and no one has ever said it to him.”
Fury faces Chisora on December 3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Providing everything goes well on the night, he is expected to square off against Oleksandr Usyk for all-four major sanctioning body belts between February and early march next year.
