Glen Hoddle’s big Thomas Tuchel claim will worry Chelsea fans after Everton draw

Glen Hoddle had a worrying claim about Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel after the Blues were held to a draw by strugglers Everton on Thursday night. The result means Chelsea have won just one of their last four matches in all competitions.

Glen Hoddle admitted that he believes Thomas Tuchel was at an all-time low after Chelsea’s draw with Everton.

Despite dominating against the Toffees on Thursday night, the Blues were made to wait until the 70th minute before Mason Mount opened the scoring on the counter attack.

But their lead was short-lived as teenage centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite struck from a set-piece, leading Chelsea to drop points once again.

The result means Tuchel’s men have only got one win in their last four games in all competitions, and sees them drop to four points behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.

And former Chelsea hero Hoddle made a condemning claim about Stamford Bridge boss Tuchel.

“That’s the lowest I’ve seen him at Chelsea,” Hoddle said on BT Sport.

Tuchel has been forced to compete without the reliable N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic in his midfield in recent weeks.

And Joe Cole admitted that while the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek have filled in valiantly, the balance of the side did seem off.

Of course, Chelsea are still firmly in the title race, while they have given a favourable draw in the Champions League against Lille.

Next up for the west London side is Wolves away on Sunday, while nearby Brentford await them on Wednesday in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup.

In more promising news, Kante was included on the bench for the game against Everton, but Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku were both missing after testing positive for Covid.
