Google brings the ability to post polls, questions and responses anonymously on Meet – Times of India

Google has explained in its post that the feature will allow users to conduct a poll, post questions and answer them without revealing their identity during an ongoing Meet call.
The company has confirmed that the anonymous questions feature will be available by default. The feature, however, will be disabled by default. Hosts and co-hosts will have the option to enable or disable it anytime they want.
The feature can be enabled or disabled by heading to Meeting Activities → Allow Questions in Q&A → Allow Anonymous questions. Also, hosts and co-hosts will see the Anonymous Questions while creating a new poll or asking questions or answering them.
Google has also noted that the feature won’t carry meeting-by-meeting. That means users will need to enable it for every meeting manually.
In addition, Google has also assured that neither hosts nor participants will be able to see the user’s name for the anonymous posts or polls. This also applies to Google Workspace Admin.
Google’s blog post has noted that the feature will be rolling out to all workspace users, but gradually. So it may take a while to reach all users across the globe.
Also, the feature will be available for Google Workspace Essentials, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, Education Plus and Nonprofits plans, and legacy G Suite Business customers.
The features won’t be available to Google Workspace Business Starter, Education Fundamentals, Education Standard, Frontline customers, or legacy G Suite Basic customers.
