Google Doodle Champion Island Games celebrate Tokyo Paralympics 2020 – Times of India

Google has reintroduced its Doodle game — Champion Island Games — to celebrate the spirit of Tokyo Paralympics 2020. The game begins today and will continue till September 5.
“Welcome back to the Doodle Champion Island Games! Over the coming weeks, re-join calico (c)athlete Lucky as she explores Doodle Champion Island even further: a world filled with seven sport mini-games, legendary opponents, dozens of daring side quests, and a few new (and old ;)) friends”, Google’s page of Doodle reads.
As we know, Doodle Champion Island Games consists of a total of 7 minigames that include sports like table tennis, rugby, running, swimming, and climbing. The games also comprise other side quests as well.
The main character of the game is Lucky, a ninja cat. Participants will take up the role of Lucky which will transport them to an island where the game festival is underway.
This time Google has made some changes to the Champion Island Games. Users will be able to collect scrolls. The game also offers bonus levels and side quests this time.
“What’s different this time around? Look out for bonus levels and brand new side quests! If you’re one of the chosen few who collects every scroll, you can even see what’s next for our favorite felin”, Google says.
Here’s how to play

  • Click on the Google homepage play button.
  • The game begins with you in the avatar of “Lucky, the Ninja Cat.”
  • Here, pick a team—Red, Blue, Yellow, or Green.
  • After you join a team, find the “champions” of each sport and challenge them to minigames. There is a leaderboard to show the winner’s list.
