Google is making it easier to sign-in for third-party apps – Times of India
As reported by 9to5Google, the tech giant is now adding a One Tap authentication module to its ‘Google Identity Services’ which will further ease out the process of sign-in for third party apps.
This new method will work directly on the current website and users will not be redirected to a seperate sign-in page. With this new addition, Google aims to offer an uninterrupted browsing experience to the users. “On click, developers receive a secure token to authenticate the user,” as per the report.

The report also adds that the One Tap prompt will appear from the bottom on mobile (Android), whereas desktop users will see it on the top right corner. The new feature will work for both signing up new users and also logging in old ones.
The report further states, that with this new update, users will see a button with their name, email and profile image appearing on the website in which they wish to sign-in. The company claims that this process will enhance the user experience and will also increase the number of sign-in.
Google claims that Reddit has already implemented this feature and it has seen an increase in the number of user signups and returning user conversations.
