Google Pay UPI Lite launched in India for PIN-free transactions under Rs 200: how to use
Google Pay UPI Lite for hassle-free transactions
Google Pay UPI Lite is designed to simplify digital payments for users by eliminating the need for the UPI PIN. You can perform transactions efficiently by simply clicking once. Also, the UPI Lite account does not depend on real-time bank transactions, even though it is connected to the user’s bank account. It instead creates a separate corpus or wallet to conduct the transactions.
The maximum limit for loading the UPI Lite account is Rs 4,000. Users have the ability to perform instant UPI transactions, but they are limited to a maximum amount of Rs 200 per transaction.

When was the UPI Lite feature launched in India?
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) introduced UPI Lite in September last year. This digital payment service was created by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). UPI Lite is connected to the user’s bank account but does not depend on real-time access to the issuing bank’s core banking system.
