In April this year, Google announced that the Pixel 5a 5G will be launched at around the same time when its predecessor, the Pixel 4a, made its debut, which was in August. If Google is still on track for the launch, we are just a month away from the Pixel 5a 5G launch. Well, the Pixel 5a 5G has now been certified through the FCC, suggesting that Google is right on schedule to unveil its next affordable smartphone. Two FCC certifications of the Google Pixel 5a 5G have been spotted today. These FCC certifications of the Pixel 5a 5G list three variants of the device, G1F8F, GR0M2, and G4S1M. The listings reveal that the Pixel 5a 5G has 5G connectivity, obviously. One of the certifications reveals that the differences between the GR0M2 and GRS1M variants, as you can see in the image attached below in the post. Unfortunately, that is the only piece of information that the FCC certification of the Pixel 5a 5G reveals.

That being said, previous leaks have shed some light on the Google Pixel 5a 5G specifications. According to those leaks, the Pixel 5a 5G is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset just like the Pixel 4a 5G. The upcoming phone is expected to feature a dual-camera setup, just like its predecessor. However, there is no information if the camera sensors will be the same or if Google will upgrade them. Hopefully, we will know more of the Pixel 5a 5G specifications as it inches closer towards launch.

Google has already said that the  Pixel 5a 5G will be available later this year in the US and Japan. However, the company has not revealed anything about the Pixel 5a 5G India launch. The company had launched the Pixel 4a in India. But it did not launch the Pixel 4a 5G. So, we can’t say for sure if Google will launch the Pixel 5a 5G in the Indian market or not. Google fans in India will have to wait one more month to know all the details.
