NEW DELHI: Google Pixel 5a is coming soon. In April this year, Google confirmed that it will launch the Pixel 5a later this year. A Bloomberg report in June revealed that the company will launch the smartphone in August. Now new rumours suggest that Google will launch its mid-range smartphone on August 17. Apart from the launch date, some images of Pixel 5a’s components also surfaced online.
Google Pixel 5a: Expected launch date and price
According to a report by Android Police, Google is expected to launch its Pixel 5a smartphone on August 17. The smartphone is also said to be priced at $450 (Rs 33,345).
The report also adds that Google Pixel 5a is said to come with a rubber-like matte finish rear panel. The company is also expected to retain a 3.5mm audio jack. The report also reveals that the Google Pixel 5a is expected to house a 4,680 mAh battery.
Google Pixel 5a expected specifications
Google Pixel 5a is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is said to pack 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is expected to come with Android 11 out-of-the-box and will receive Android 12 update later this year.
Google Pixel 5a is said to feature a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The dual SIM smartphone is said to house a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The mid-range Pixel smartphone is expected to sport a dual rear camera with a 12MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 16MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front is said to house an 8MP selfie camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens.
Google Pixel 5a is said to come with an IP67 rating which will make the smartphone water and sweat-resistant. The handset is also expected to come with stereo speakers and two microphones.
Google Pixel 5a is said to house a 4680mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It is still not clear if the company will launch the smartphone in India.
