Google Pixel 6 Pro pops up in more renders – Smartprix

Lately, there’s been a bunch of buzz around the Pixel hardware lineup. We have had reports on Google’s in-house chip, rumors about a rounded Pixel Watch, a Pixel 5a 5G, official leaks of Pixel Buds A, and now a few renders of the upcoming Pixel 6 lineup has also surfaced. The newly out renders alleges a drastic design revamp for both the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro (yea, the company seems to be leaving the XL moniker).

Although the first set of renders were from the notorious leakster Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech YouTube channel, we now have some more renders corroborating the design. Credits where credits due, these CAD images by Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka @OnLeaks are much neater and true to life. Still, before we dig deeper, we advise you to take the following details with the proverbial pinch of salt.

Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro design

It’s the back of the phone that has the most dramatic look. I personally find it way cooler than the timid design traits of the precursors. The alleged dimensions are 163.9 x 75.8 x 8.9mm, and at the thickest portion, ie the camera hump, the measurement is 11.5mm.

Both the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro have got a triple-tone finish. There is a protruding camera array extending edge to edge. Above it, there is a vibrant orange color, reminiscent of Pixel 4’s Oh So Orange variant, while beneath the camera bump, the tone is rather pale.

Apparently, there are two cameras on the Pixel 6 and three on the Pixel 6 Pro. It is reported that the latter has got a standard wide-angle lens, an ultrawide, and a periscope telephoto. Rest, there is a G logo in the middle.

Coming to the front, the noticeable aspect is how thin the bezels are. The edges are curved too. There is only a single camera sitting within a centered punch hole on the 6.67-inch OLED panel. And since the face unlock mechanism isn’t equipped to work with a single camera setup, you have an in-display fingerprint solution instead.

That’s about all we learn from the renders for now. Inside, however, we expect the long-rumored Google’s own Whitechapel processor. At least on the vanilla Pixel 6. Now again, we can’t be sure about the details shared above until any verifiable details come forth. But, we do hope these turn out to be real and turn things in general for the Pixel phones.
