Google is expected to launch the Pixel 6a in four models.

Google must be gearing up for the I/O 2022 which is going to take place on May 11-12. In this event, besides virtual demos and live/on-demand presentations, we are expecting to see the launch of Android 13 and insights into some Pixel hardware at least, if not the actual products. Pixel fans are anticipating a lineup that could include the Pixel 6a, Pixel Watch, Pixel Fold, and some changes to Stadia. Ahead of the event, tipster Mukul Sharma has brought to our attention that a Pixel smartphone, likely the aforementioned Pixel 6a, is undergoing testing in the country.

So, here’s what we can expect from the upcoming Pixel 6-series phone.

Google Pixel 6a Specs and Features (Expected)

Google could give a 6.2-inch FHD+ 90Hz screen with an in-display fingerprint reader. The device is said to sport face recognition also. Unlocking it, we could be interacting with Android 12 software, although Android 13 may soon hit the device. The internals could consist of 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, a Google Tensor processor, and a 4500mAh battery with 20W+ fast charging.

The rumour has it that Google may release 4 variants of the Pixel 6a viz. GX7AS, GB17L, G1AZG and GB62Z. We may learn more about this at the I/O 2022. Mark your calendar for May 11 and 12.
