Google Pixel 7A to launch on May 10 during I/O 2023: Pixel Tablet also in the fray – Smartprix

Tech Giant Google has already confirmed that it will hold its Developers conference aka I/O 2023 on May 10 this year. The I/O will see not only software (Android 14 OS) but some major hardware announcements as well. One of these is the launch of the 3rd member of the Pixel 7 Series. Google Pixel 7A smartphone will see the light of day on May 10th along with Pixel Buds 2. Google Pixel Tablet is also expected to launch.

Although Google itself hasn’t confirmed any of these products, tipster Paras Guglani has shared some interesting speculations about the same.

Google Pixel 7A: Expectations

Paras Guglani claims that the Google Pixel 7A will come in 5 different colors. These will be Dinuguan Black, Crispy Kale, Mayo Cream, Tide Orange, and Vibrant Ube.

He has also talked about the storage configuration for Pixel 7A as he claims it will have 256GB internal storage paired up with 8GB RAM. This means an upgrade over its predecessor Pixel 6a which came with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Some other reports claim that Pixel 7A will be powered by a Google Tensor G2 chipset and have a dual camera setup at the back. The dual setup will include a 64MP Sony IMX787 primary and a 12MP sensor.

Google Pixel 7A is expected to flaunt a 6.1-inch OLED panel with Capacitive Touchscreen and Multi-touch. It will have an 8MP selfie camera and also be protected against water and dust. The smartphone is said to pack a 4410mAh battery with 18W wired charging but no charger inside the box. Pixel 7A is also expected to come with stereo speakers and provide a good software experience as well.

Google Pixel 7A: Expected India Price

Google Pixel 7A will definitely come to India, all thanks to the success of Google Pixel 6a. The smartphone might be launched in India around July, just like last year.  The US Pricing is expected between 450 dollars & 500 dollars, which is roughly Rs. 37,100 to Rs. 41,200 in terms of Indian currency. The India price is likely to be slightly lower than the US Pricing due to a basic cost difference.

Google Pixel Tablet

Google showcased its Pixel Tablet at the Pixel 7 Series launch last year and confirmed that the Tablet will arrive in 2023. Now, the launch seems to be getting closer as the Pixel Tablet has been spotted on the FCC website with the model number GTU8P. The FCC listing confirms that the tablet will have 3 connectivity standards-Bluetooth, WiFi, and UWB. With the tablet, Google might be looking forward to expanding the UWB connectivity. It might come with a tap-to-transfer connectivity system. This means tapping a phone or tablet to the speaker to start casting music and so on.

Moreover, the UL Solutions listing has confirmed that the Pixel Tablet will be an Android device. It also confirms a charging dock with model number GMD6J which means Pixel Tablet might support fast charging up to 30W. The listing otherwise claims that the Pixel Tab will have 18W fast charging support.

Details about the other features are still under wraps, so we’ll have to wait till the I/O 2023 that’s happening on May 10 to know more. Google is expected to launch Pixel 7A, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Buds Pro, Android 14, Pixel Fold, and much more during this year’s I/O.
