Google Pixel 8 Pro launch timeline (Expected)
Google will reportedly launch the Pixel 8 series in October, according to tipster Yogesh Brar. This is usually when the flagship Pixels are unveiled so it won’t be surprising if the tip turns out to be correct. More importantly, the tipster has listed out the specifications of the Pixel 8 Pro.
Google Pixel 8 Pro specifications (Expected)
- The Pixel 8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
- The smartphone will be powered by the Google Tensor G3 chipset that will most likely debut with the Pixel 8 series. It will also come with the Titan security chip.
- In the photography department, the Pixel 8 Pro is said to house a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 64MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP telephoto lens. For selfies, there could be an 11MP front camera on the Pixel 8 Pro.
- Google could launch the Pixel 8 Pro in two variants with 12GB RAM and 128GB + 256GB storage options.
- On the software front, the smartphone will most likely run Android 14 out-of-the-box.
- It could pack a 4,950mAh battery with 27W wired charging support.
- The smartphone will also feature a temperature sensor, which we had already reported earlier. It’s also said to house an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
- Previous leaks have also suggested that the Pixel 8 Pro will come in four colour options of Jade, Licorice, Porcelain, and Sky.
The latest leak is in line with what has been tipped so far which suggests that these could be final specifications of the Pixel 8 Pro. In terms of design, the Pixel 8 series will carry the same design as the Pixel 7 series with some changes in the rear camera module. This is what leaked renders have shown so far.
