Gorgeous-looking Redout II will be ripping up the spaceways on May 26

HEH-HEH-HEEEEEH WIPEOUT!

Fans of anti-gravity racing games finally have a date to ring on their calendars — publisher Saber Interactive and developer 34BigThings announced that the hotly anticipated racer, Redout II, will finally get the green flag on May 26, when the hi-speed, hi-tech sequel hits PC and console platforms.

Redout II, defined by the developer as “the future of racing,” will see players duke it across an amazing 36 futuristic raceways — all reversible for a grand total of 72 anti-gravity tracks. Up to 12 players, (on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox), will drift their way through intense racing action, reaching eye-searing speeds of over 1,000 km/h. 12 fully customizable vessel chassis are on offer, allowing for players to fine-tune their chosen vehicle to aesthetic perfection.

In addition to A.I. racing and online multiplayer modes, players can look forward to special events, seasonal content, time attack challenges, Boss Races, and even Redout II‘s unique take on the battle royale “Last Person Standing” genre. There’s also an in-depth photo mode, so you can capture your fine machine from all angles as it rips through its moments of speedway glory. Oh, and listen out for a suitably electronic soundtrack, featuring artists such as Giorgio Moroder and Dance with the Dead.

Redout II launches May 26 on PlayStation, PC (via Steam), Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
