GOTG 3: James Gunn Didn’t Put Too Much Thought in the Infinity Stones Arc
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is live now in theatres and fans are loving it. It seems like this instalment to the series is bringing back the love fans had for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. James Gunn is the man responsible for GOTG Vol. 3 and this will be his last film for the MCU before he moves his focus to the newly announced DC Entertainment Universe.

On the topic of James Gunn, he recently opened up about some intriguing details of the film during a GOTG quiz with Comicbook.com. He shared that he had put close to no effort while thinking up the introduction of the Infinity Saga in the MCU when he was asked about the names for each of the six Infinity stones.
Gunn states that he was able to write the GOTG scene referring to the Infinity Stones within an hour and a half. Gunn was able to explain what the Infinity Stones were and their importance in the MCU. Moreover, he also put the Power Stone in the Collector’s Hands, and said that he “just made up this bullshit” along the way.
Today is the day! #GuardiansoftheGalaxyVol3 opens in theaters! At the end of the day, this is a movie about joy & compassion & learning to see beyond the rim of our own worlds & having empathy for all living things. Years down the line, it’s pretty to funny to think that Gunn’s effortless inclusion of the Infinity Stones ended up becoming the biggest arc in MCU history. We hope he is able to bring over the same ability to the DCEU too.
