Government has issued a warning for these Apple products, here’s what you need to do – Times of India

CERT-In, the government body that keeps track of issues and bugs in operating systems and services, has issued a new warning for some Apple products. This includes iPhone, iPad, Mac and Safari.
What government has said
The warning issued by the government body has a high severity warning and according to the report, the issues found can allow hackers to execute remote code execution in Apple products and compromise safety and security of the devices and users data.

Apple iOS versions prior to 16.5.1(C)
Apple iPadOS versions prior to 16.5.1(C)
Apple macOS Ventura versions prior to 13.4.1 (C)
Apple Safari versions prior to 16.5.2
What’s the issue
A vulnerability has been reported in Apple products which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system. This vulnerability exists in Apple products due to an issue in the WebKit component. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a victim to visit maliciously crafted web content. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.
The government body has specifically mentioned that “this vulnerability (CVE-2023-37450) is being exploited in the wild”.
What you need to do about it
The government body has advised Apple users who are running the older version of the operating systems and Safari to download and install the latest version immediately. Thankfully, Apple has already rolled out the updated versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Safari that contain the fix for the vulnerability.
