Grammys 2023: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Wins First Ever Award for Best Video Game Soundtrack
The 2023 edition of The Grammys have arrived with several artists and musicians taking home major awards.
The list of winners features popular artists like Beyonce, Adele, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, and more. Among the various prize winners, one video game took home a major award as well.
The 2023 Grammys included its first ever award category for video game music. The category titled “Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media” featured the following nominees:
- Aliens: Fireteam Elite — Austin Wintory (Composer)
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn Of Ragnarok — Stephanie Economou (Composer)
- Call Of Duty: Vanguard — Bear McCreary (Composer)
- Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy — Richard Jacques (Composer)
- Old World — Christopher Tin (Composer)

In the hotly contested category, it was Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn Of Ragnarok, as Stephanie Economou wins her first Grammy in her first ever experience with video game music.
Plus, the category also brought in a ton of eyeballs from the meme world, as award presenter and comedian, Randy Rainbow absolutely murdered the pronunciation of the celebrated Ubisoft RPG title.
