GTA 6 on PS4 and Xbox One, Grand Theft Auto 6 PC delay and GTA 6 map first look

After years of waiting, Grand Theft Auto fans were finally treated to a look at Grand Theft Auto 6. The debut trailer (which you can see below) gives fans a first look at GTA 6 gameplay, as well as the lead characters and some of the locations fans will be able to visit during the course of the campaign. It ends with confirmation that Grand Theft Auto 6 will have a 2025 release date.

Sadly for some fans, however, it looks like Grand Theft Auto 6 won’t be available on their platform of choice.

Judging by a Rockstar Games statement, GTA 6 will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.

Rockstar currently has no plans to release the game on PS4 and Xbox One, while a PC launch is expected to come at a later date.

“Rockstar Games is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to PlayStation 5 computer entertainment systems and Xbox Series X|S games and entertainment systems in 2025,” reads a Rockstar statement.

While nothing has been confirmed, fans can expect the PC version to launch at some point in 2026.

In addition to platform information, Rockstar Games also shed more light on the game’s location.

Rockstar continues: “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”

Indeed, as you can see from the statement above, Leonida is the name of the county, while Vice City is a location within Leonida.

The trailer gives fans a look some of the map locations as seen from the skies above.

This includes locations based on the Florida Keys, as well as the beach and more.

Some fans have started to put the pieces together and come up with a mock up of the GTA 6 map.

The image above shows what the map might look like, as well as how it compares to GTA 5.

Needless to say, expect the mocked up maps to become more accurate as more trailers are released.

Speaking of the GTA 6 trailer, the video has racked up more than 70 million views at the time of writing.
