Here’s how you can play Fortnite on iOS – Times of India

After a long wait of almost two years, Fortnite is back on iOS, iPadOSand even Android but there’s a catch. Fortnite is brought back courtesy of a partnership between Microsft and Epic Games, making one of the most popular battle royale games available on the Xbox Cloud Gaming platform, and that too for free.
Around two years, both Apple and Google had a court battle with Fortnite’s maker Epic Games, resulting in Fortnite getting banned on App Store and Google Play Store. Since then, Fortnite players have been searching for some workaround to play their favourite game on their mobile devices. However, it was quite a headache and nearly impossible to play Fortnite on any of the Apple devices until now. With Xbox Cloud Gaming, anyone with a Microsoft account can stream the game on their device, whether an iPhone, Android, or Windows PC. And there is even no need to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass since the game is free-to-play for everyone.
“This is just the beginning for us — we’re going to learn, implement feedback, and in time look to bring even more free-to-play titles to players through the cloud,” Microsoft said in a press statement.
Fortnite will be available to play for free in 26 countries, including the United States, Australia, and Japan. However, we do have to note that the Xbox Cloud Gaming is not available in India, so users in India won’t be able to play Fortnite through Xbox Game Pass.
