Truth be told, the trailer announcement isn’t the actual surprise but what happens in the trailer is. The Game Awards 2022 Edition is the fifth main game in the Batman: Arkham series and the first not to feature Batman as the main protagonist. The other surprise is that the game pays a tribute to Kevin Conroy, who recently passed away.
The game fans will get one more chance to hear Kevin Conroy as Batman. Conroy recorded dialogue for the game before he passed away in November. While it may not be something of interest to non-gamers, learning that Conroy will voice The Dark Knight is a big deal for fans globally.
Conroy earned fame for lending his voice to Batman in various animated media since Batman: The Animated Series in 1992. He voiced the caped crusader for multiple animated TV series, feature films and video games over the last three decades.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League trailer
The trailer includes the familiar cast of villains, including Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang and King Shark, which we have seen in the movies. The misfits are seen torturing the Flash but are alerted when they feel the presence of someone. Batman appears from the shadows in style and then introduces himself as “Vengeance”, “the knight” and “Batman”.
Published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is developed by Rocksteady Studios. The game will be released on May 26, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
