High On Life Could Come To PlayStation, It Seems
According to an update to the PlayStation database, High On Life might be coming to PlayStation in the future. The game is currently only available on Xbox and PC.
A PS4 version of High On Life was found on the PlayStation backend through the PlayStation database, Orbis Patches. There are entries for both the US and EU regions. While the publisher is listed as “unknown,” the game was developed and published by Squanch Games. The studio hasn’t made an official announcement about bringing it to more platforms.
It’s also worth noting that the PS5 equivalent database, Prospero Patches, doesn’t have an entry for the game, though that doesn’t necessarily rule out a possible PS5 version.
High On Life was released in December 2022 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also available on Game Pass. Squanch Games co-founder Justin Roiland resigned from the studio after domestic violence charges against him were revealed in January. However, the studio will continue to operate without him.
In GameSpot’s High On Life review, we said, “Ultimately, High On Life is, in its own weird way, a take on what a modern Metroid Prime game could be, through the lens of Justin Roiland’s comedy antics. There’s a similar sense of exploration mixed with fast-paced moments of combat, only here it’s also swelling with expletive-laden jokes and sometimes incoherent rambling.”
