Hogwarts Legacy Composer Teases Metal Gear Solid Project

J. Scott Rakozy, composer of Hogwarts Legacy’s score, has shared a video on Instagram which seems to tease a Metal Gear Solid-related project.

Rakozy posted a rearrangement of the Metal Gear Solid theme in his Instagram story. That was all it took before many Metal Gear Solid fans started theorizing what this story might mean, and what it might be teasing as a future project. You can watch the video on the r/metalgearsolid subreddit.

Fans were quick to speculate that it hints towards the rumoured Metal Gear Solid remakes such as that of the classic Metal Gear Solid which was released for the original PlayStation in 1998.

Some believe it could be about a tease for the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake. None of these fan theories have been confirmed so far.

One possibility might be that Rakozy is composing a version of the Metal Gear theme for an upcoming album that features covers and rearrangements of all-time great video game music.

This was reported by PCGamesN, where it was also pointed out that singer Donna Burke recently re-recorded her classic theme from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater as well.

Mason Liebermann is another composer working on that album. He confirmed to PCGamesN that they and Burke are not working on an “MGS project whatsoever”. Liebermann added that they’re instead working on “a special album for videogame music lovers.”

So, from the looks of it, J. Scott Rakozy is composing for the album rather than teasing a Metal Gear Solid remake. Rakozy is a known music composer who has also worked on several Netflix series and Assassin’s Creed short films.
