A LinkedIn profile of a Warner Bros. Entertainment employee has revealed interesting information about WB Games’ recent title, Hogwarts Legacy.
The employee in question is Warner Bros. Entertainment Senior Global Brand Manager, Arien Darby. According to his LinkedIn profile, Darby worked with Portkey Games on Hogwarts Legacy as the game’s Brand Marketing Lead.
As spotted by Twitter user @Timur222 (via Insider Gaming), the about section of Darby’s profile featured some information about Hogwarts Legacy’s sales. According to Darby, the recent hit title “achieved 256% to plan sell-thru at launch and exceeded 12M units in sales in the first two weeks.” This suggests that Hogwarts Legacy wildly outperformed the sales projections Warner Bros. Games had for it.

Darby also said that the game received an additional 1.8 billion impressions through the Warner Bros. Fusion program. He also pointed out that Hogwarts Legacy broke the Twitch record for the most peak concurrent viewers ever for a single player game, with 1.3 million views.
Hogwarts Legacy broke the 12 million sales mark in February, and since then, the developers haven’t revealed much about the game’s performance in the market. However, it’s very likely that the Portkey Games-developed title has already cemented itself as one of the best-selling games in recent years, and it will be interesting to see where it stands when it’s all said and done.
