Hogwarts Legacy: Star Trek’s Simon Pegg to Play the Role of Headmaster, Phineas Nigellus; New Characters Revealed and More

Hogwarts Legacy release date is approaching faster than ever, and players can expect it to be in their hands by February 10, 2023. We have been receiving information about the game constantly ahead of release. Recently through a showcase we learned more about the sprawling open world, broom flight mechanics and advanced combat that will be seen in the game.

Now some exciting news has popped up, which will surely have all the players celebrating. Hogwarts Legacy has just announced their latest voice actor for the game, and it is none other than Simon Pegg, who is known for his performance in Star Trek and the Mission Impossible Series. Pegg will be playing the role of Phineas Nigellus Black, who is the headmaster of Hogwarts in the game.

Pegg explained some details about the character through a new video posted with the announcement. He informed the people that Phineas Black has been mentioned earlier in the books, and he was also seen as portrait in Dumbledore’s office. He also called the character the least famous headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Pegg also provided some character traits, calling Phineas a pompous and disinterested headmaster, with some of his dialogues playing in the background. He added saying that this character is not concerned with the education of the students or being a role model to them. The pat on the back for being the headmaster is his only motivating factor.

Lastly we also received a bit of trivia, that stated Phineas was the last Slytherin Headmaster before the appointment of Severus Snape. Players are surely excited to see how Simon Pegg’s performance will elevate their experience while playing Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy Characters that have been Revealed

Now that we spoke about one of the characters from the upcoming titles, let’s talk about all the characters that we know about already. Through the first trailers we learned about Natsai Onai, who is a transfer student from Africa. Then comes the protagonist in Slytherin student, Sebastian Swallow.

Dudley is moving on from Harry Potter

In other news, Harry Melling, the actor known for playing Harry’s cousin, Dudley, in the movies has recently stated in an interview with Vanity Fair that he is ready to move on from the franchise.

He stated that he is extremely appreciative about the opportunity he was given and is amazed at how relevant the franchise is even years after release. He then added that he is ready to move on and talk about the things he is doing right now.
