It seems like Season 2 of HBO’s House of the Dragon will not be impacted by the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.
George R.R. Martin, who the creator of the Game of Thrones series, talked about the strike on his blog. In his post, Martin has stated that the second season for House of the Dragon already began filming in April and the shooting is ongoing in London and Wales.
As far as the scripts are concerned, Season 2 scripts for the upcoming eight episodes finished up “months ago, long before the strike began.” Moreover, each episode has also gone through a series of revisions that addressed “HBO notes, my notes and budget concerns.”
Furthermore, Martin has also stated that the scripts do not need any revisions after this point. “The writers have done their jobs; the rest is in the hands of the directors, cast and crew… and of course the dragons.”
